“ASK OF ME!”
(The Lord Is Inviting You To Inquire Of Him)
TO THE BIBLE: Psalm 2:8
“Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.”
Tommy had some difficulty reaching out to other young people around him who weren’t born again. He thought, “Where do I start from? There are so many of them, and I feel I should do something!” As he studied his Bible one morning, his eyes fell on the scripture in Psalm 2:8, and a light came on within him—he had found the first step to reaching the lost!
When you read this scripture, you can’t but come to the conclusion that the Lord is inviting you to ask Him for the salvation of souls in your world (your family, neighbourhood, school, etc.). He wants you to fill them with the Word, nurture them in the way of righteousness, and show them how to live the Christ-life! However, you’d have to ask in intercession, and pray for the lost that they may receive salvation.
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations… teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you….” That’s the responsibility given to you. Therefore, you’ve got a God-ordained right to ask for the souls of those who aren’t saved around you; and when you ask, receive, because the Word has already been given that He who asks shall be given (Matthew 7:7). So, act on the Word and ask. After you’ve asked, don’t say, “I’m waiting on God to do it; no. When you ask, believe it’s done, and act accordingly! And as you do, the Lord will give you visions and ideas of how and what to do to make this happen.
Dear Father, I thank you for the ability of the Spirit granted me to preach the Gospel of Christ to the lost. Your Word in me prevails mightily in the hearts of the unconverted, destroying religious barriers and eliminating the wrong mindsets, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
