THE ELIXIR AND FINAL ARBITER
(God’s Word Is All You Need)
TO THE BIBLE: Romans 15:4
“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
What do you do when you feel the pressures of life coming against you from all angles? As a Christian, your first response should be to ask yourself, “What does God’s Word say about this situation I’m facing?” God’s Word is your elixir. It should be your final arbiter when you face challenges, for in it you find peace, hope, strength, and comfort.
For example, if you’re having difficulties with your studies, you should read the story of Daniel and his three friends and be inspired. God’s hand was upon them and He gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom, making them ten times wiser and smarter than their contemporaries (Daniel 1:17-20). If you’re feeling depressed or downcast about a particular issue, you should read about David, who encouraged himself in the Lord and was strengthened (1 Samuel 30:6).
Therefore, whatever it is you require an answer for, search the scriptures and find out how God helped someone with a similar issue in the Bible. Once you discover it, meditate on that particular scripture and make faith confessions out of it. It will encourage you and position you rightly for your own miracle. Before long, you’ll walk victoriously out of that situation. Halleluiah!
