LIFE IS SPIRITUAL

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:16).

Human life is controlled from the realm of the spirit, and to remain ignorant of that is dangerous. Whether we’re conscious or ignorant of the laws that exist in that realm makes no difference; they’ll work either for you or against you, just as natural laws. The law of gravity, for example, will work for or against you, depending on your application of or relation to it.

Your life is dependent on your right application of spiritual laws, for life is spiritual. There’re people who, after leading nations and building successful careers, were reduced to nothing because Satan got a hold of them. If only they had recognized that life is spiritual! The Bible says, “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

The strongholds described above aren’t metal barriers or walls; they’re ideas in people’s heads, and theories they’ve accepted in life that have kept them from moving in the direction of God’s dream and destiny for them. Those ideas were built into their minds by satanic forces. That’s why some people will reject tithing, and refuse to pay their tithes even though they’ve heard about the blessings and the fulfilment of the promises of God for the one who pays his tithes.

Those strongholds can only be pulled down by the power of God’s Spirit, and His Word. In Psalm 119:66, the Psalmist said, “Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.” He knew that believing the commandments wasn’t enough, and so he asked the Lord to teach him good judgment, which is akin to spiritual knowledge. He asked to be granted the wisdom to discern the principles of the spirit realm, to know what is of God and what isn’t of God. Make rich deposits of the Word in your spirit, through study and meditation. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” This is a vital key to living successfully and navigating your way gloriously through life.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES 3RD JANUARY, 2021, THE WORD AND YOUR EXPERIENCE

BRING THEM BACK!

Be Concerned For Those Who May Have Strayed Away

Rhapsody of Realities TEEVO 5TH January 2021.

TO THE BIBLE Luke 15:23-24

“…Bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found….”

LET’S TALK

“Speaking of Jamie, I don’t think I’ve seen him in Church for a while; perhaps I will give him a call?” “Better yet, let’s go visit him at his place; I’m sure he will appreciate the visit,” Tom suggested to Phil.

n a church, particularly one with a large congregation, it’s possible for some members to be inconsistent in their attendance; some may even have stopped coming altogether. This may not be immediately obvious, especially if the church is always full during the services.

As Christians and soul winners, we should be concerned enough to know if anyone in our congregation has strayed away or fallen by the wayside. In Luke 15, the Lord Jesus told the parable of a shepherd with one hundred sheep. One of them got missing, and he left the ninety-nine in the wilderness to search for the missing sheep. When he found it, he carried it home rejoicing, and invited his friends and neighbours to celebrate with him. Then, Jesus said, “…Likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7).

Jesus was preaching here to the Jews. He was talking to them about the lost. Understand that He wasn’t talking about one who had never come to the Lord, but one who had strayed away. There’s a difference between the one who has never been inside (the church) and the one who was inside, but strayed away. Remember, Jesus was dealing with Old Testament church here; so He wasn’t referring to the lost sinners of the world.

Matthew 10:5-6 says, “These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” The Lord is sending you today to that brother or sister who no longer comes to church. Don’t give up on them; find them, intercede for them and win them back. When you bring them back, the Bible says there’ll be great joy in heaven. This is something you have to do.

Pray

Dear Father, thank you for making me genuinely concerned about your children who have strayed from the way. I pray that Christ be formed in them, and that they’d be established, rooted and grounded in your love, being fully persuaded that in you alone lie their joy and total fulfilment, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

PROMOTE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES 4TH JANUARY, 2020

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south (Psalm 75:6).

When God puts you in a particular job or business, His interest isn’t about the office or your designation. What matters to Him is how effectively you’re using your office to promote His righteousness. He wants you passionate for the Gospel, and the establishment of His Kingdom in the hearts of men and nations of the earth.

Everywhere you are, be busy for the Lord. Stand for Him. You’re His ambassador, and a minister of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:20-21). What counts the most in your life is what you do with the Gospel, for the salvation of men, regardless of your vocation.

The Apostle Paul, in 2 Corinthians 8:23, commended certain individuals who were with him on his missionary journeys. He was proud of their commitment to the Gospel and said, “…they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.” What a testimony! Messengers of the churches and the glory of Christ. What an honour! It makes no difference where you are, or what your vocation is; see yourself as a sent one, representing the Church and the glory of Christ.

Preach the Gospel. Minister the Word to those in your world. The Bible says He’s made you an “able minister of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life” (2 Corinthians 3:6). You’re God’s mouthpiece; speak for Him! Do His work. Do great things for the Kingdom. Be bold. Let nothing keep you quiet. Keep bearing His message of faith, hope and love with urgency, for the end of all things is near (1 Peter 4:7).

PRAYER

Blessed Father, I thank you for the grace you’ve granted me to be relevant in the ministry of the Gospel, preaching and spreading your righteousness around the world. My life is the testimony of your power as I bear witness of Christ and testify of His saving grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
