(Remain Filled With The Holy Spirit)
When you stay full of God’s Spirit, you enjoy all the spiritual blessings that God has to offer you.
To The Bible Ephesians 5:18-21 KJV
“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
God’s desire is for you to remain filled with His Spirit at all times. Apostle Paul, in the verses following Ephesians 5:18, outlines four vital ways you can achieve this. I’ll take you through them one after the other and show you how to be full of the Spirit everyday.
First, he talks about “…speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.” By this, he means that you talk to ‘you’ and I talk to ‘me.’ For example, when you say, “I walk in the light of God; therefore, I am the light of the world,” you’re talking to you.
Next, he says, “…singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” This means singing from your spirit (1 Corinthians 14:15). The melodies you make at such times may not make sense to someone else, but they’ll bless you and stir the anointing in you.
The third point is “…giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” In other words, you thank God for who He is and for all He’s done; you testify to His wondrous works in your life. Finally, he says, “…submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” This means you’re not proud, but humble and submissive to the authority of God’s Word. Practise these things and you’ll always be filled with the Spirit and on fire for the Lord!
Dear Father, thank you for the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit. I’m so glad to know the joy of being filled with the Spirit every single day of my life and I thank You for filling me even now! I adore you for who you are and give you thanks, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Speak fervently in other tongues for a few minutes. Before long, words and songs of the Spirit will well up in you, and you’ll be full of the Spirit.
