PRAYER IS VITAL
(Spend More Time Communing With The Lord)
TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 6:18 AMP
“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).”
Some people only get to pray when they’re faced with a challenge. For them prayer is just an opportunity to get God to do something for them or help them out; but that’s not right. Prayer is a time to commune with God and get yourself in line with His purpose for your life daily.
As a Christian, you have fellowship with God the Father (1 John 1:3), and through prayer you can build this fellowship. The more time you spend in fellowship with God through prayer, the more His character and personality are revealed in and through you; you’ll find yourself thinking His thoughts and functioning always in the centre of His will.
Besides, when you cultivate a life of prayer you’ll live with a pure heart towards everyone. You won’t criticise others; rather, you’ll see only the good in them. You’ll think the best of others, and you’ll always be interested in their spiritual development. So, take your personal times of prayer, devotion, and meditations very seriously. As you do this, your life becomes more beautiful, vibrant, and exciting.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the privilege of fellowshipping with you through prayer. As I commit myself to prayer and intercession for others, I remain full of your presence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Speak in tongues and talk to the Lord. Pour out your heart to Him as you would a close friend.
