The mystery of the secret place By Apostle Joshua Selman

According to Psalm 139:7-12, it shows that God is everywhere but this does not mean that we encounter him everywhere. There’s what is called the place of secret, this is where we find God. The Place of Secret is a place of intimacy with God, and it is a place where God reveals his secrets and who he really is to us. Everything noble dwells in the hidden place and it is your pursuit that reveals it to you.
Psalm 91:1-2, it talks about the secret place. This portion of Bible tells us that it’s possible to dwell in the secret place. And it also shows that it’s a spiritual state; because it’s the posture man takes to access God. It’s not the house of God, it is not necessarily means physical location. It is an affair between you and God , and when you alone with him.
Importance of the Secret Place
In the secret place, that is where God share things that are peculiar to you alone, in this case, if you share it with another you lead the to error. Again, great men and minds are made in the secret place. And the secret place can only be activated with the law of consistency . The law of consistency is the continuous talking of a particular route in prayer and fasting, studying the word of God, or taking a particular spot in communicating with God. For instance, in most cases, believers see themselves struggling or not being able to connect spiritually while they pray, but this should not discourage you, continue with it because time will come when the grace will come upon you.
There are six dimensions of the secret place

These dimensions are the basic ways through which one can attracts God’s attention.
(1) First is the Place of brokenness. Talking about brokenness, not necessarily means being a sinner rather it is consistent dependant of God. Brokenness tends to destroy every trace of pride in man , this is because men are not really destroy by sin but pride of an unbroken heart.
(2) Again, it is a way we find mercy of God. In this case, most believers feel that asking God for mercy means that you are a sinner, but this is not true. The book of psalm 86:5 and Lamentation 3: 22 made it clear, you can read it.
(3) It also talks about the secret place as a place where we find rest and comfort. This part talks about the challenges, betrayal and disappointments we face in life, but finding comfort in God makes us come out of these challenges with ease, Psalm 27:13-14.
(4) It is a place for restoration. Here, this is where God restores our prayers life, grace and fire. Scriptures to read, Rev 2:4-5, Psalm 23, 143.
(5) It is a place of illumination, it’s a place where the secret of your destiny can be revealed.

FOLLOW JESUS’ EXAMPLE
(Have No Consciousness Of Need)

📖 TO THE BIBLE: 2 Peter 1:3
“…His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
There’re people living their lives in worry and fear for the future; they’ve heard so much from the news media about the depletion and decimation of world economies, and they’re uncertain about the integrity of their state support systems. But as you study the scriptures and grow in God’s Word, you’d come to realise that everything you could ever want has been provided in the Word.

1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” You’ve been called into fellowship with Jesus Christ. That means you’ve been brought into oneness, a partnership or family union with Jesus Christ. If this is true, what in the world could you ever need? Every good thing you could ever want in your life or have enough sense to ask for is wrapped up in Christ. To have Christ is to have everything.

Our opening scripture says He’s already given you all things that pertain to life and godliness. Your approach to the Word of God should be, “If God says it, then my response is “Yes.” If He says I have all things in Christ, then it means all things are mine; no need to ask for anything because all my needs have been provided in Christ.” Let this be the way you think. What God wants isn’t for us to use prayer as an avenue to ask Him for the things we need; rather, the purpose of prayer is our fellowship with Him. That’s what He seeks. Jesus had no consciousness of need; follow His example.

USE THE SOUND CODES (Words Have Creative Energy And Potency)

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Proverbs 18:21 GNB “What you say can preserve life or destroy it….”

▶️ LET’S TALK
One of the many beautiful benefits of having the scriptures is that it shows us God’s ways and principles so that we too could do what God did, to shapen our lives after God’s pattern. Genesis 1, for example, shows us in detail how God brought forth the universe and all the beautiful things in it; He spoke the whole of creation into being with words. When He said, “Let there be light,” light came into being (Genesis 1:3).

Have you ever wondered why God had to “talk” to bring forth these things instead of making them? It’s because by talking, you create a sound code. Speech creates sound waves, and the original source material for creation is sound because that’s the energy produced by words. They are sound codes. Therefore, a sound code is the instruction, meaning, account, or information embedded in a sound wave.

When an object moves from one point to another, it is said to possess a form of energy called kinetic energy; when electrons move through a substance, such a substance is said to possess electric energy. Similarly, when you utter words, you produce creative energy that has the potency of creating precisely what you proclaim. If you speak ugly words, your words will crystallise into ugly experiences; if you speak beautiful, edifying words, your experiences would take the same form.

The Holy Spirit Helps You Do The Impossible

HE POWERS YOU UP

TO THE BIBLE Acts 1:8
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

LET’S TALK
Before Jesus’ ascension, He said to His disciples, “What comes next is very important: I am sending what my Father promised to you, so stay here in the city until he arrives, until you’re equipped with power from on high” (Luke 24:49 MSG). Then in our opening verse above, He said to them, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” Why is this important? It is because there’s no Christianity without the power of the Holy Spirit! What is power?

The word translated “power” in Acts 1:8 is the Greek “dunamis,” which means inherent power, the dynamic ability to effect changes. It also means miracle-working ability. It refers to the ability to do the impossible. If you’re born again and have received the Holy Spirit, you’ve received the ability to do the impossible—a supernatural ability! It’s the creative ability of God. Now, that same Holy Spirit lives in you. Therefore, you have the divine ability to accomplish any task and change hopeless situations.

The Holy Spirit is your power-up; with Him, you can never be defeated or disadvantaged. If you want the glory of God in your life, if you’re going to walk in dominion over devils, sickness, and death, then the Holy Spirit is all you need. His presence in your life makes you indomitable!

Like Paul, be bold to say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). The Holy Spirit lives in you; you’re not helpless or ordinary. He’s the power of God and the power-giver. Walk with Him, and it’ll be victory, success, and miracles for you all the way!
