THE SIGNS FOLLOWING
(You’re In the Special Race Of Superbeings)
TO THE BIBLE: Mark 16:17-18
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
I want to show you what Jesus meant in the scripture above: Imagine I sent you to receive someone you’ve never met from the airport. To aid you, I decided to give you a detailed description of him so that you wouldn’t miss him: “His name is Jimmy and he has told me he would be putting on a white jacket. He has long hair; he is about 6 feet tall and would be wearing a pair of white sneakers with black stripes.”
Equipped with all this information, you then hear me say, “These signs shall follow Jimmy.” That’s definitely not a promise. The signs are indicators to help you know who Jimmy is. This is exactly what the Lord meant when He listed the signs that would follow the believer.
Jesus was letting the world know that the believers belong to a special race of supermen. And the way to identify them is through the unusual signs they perform. He was showing how peculiar the believer is, and there’s something different about the Christian that marks him out of the crowd. The unbelievers will recognise who you are when they find you healing the sick, casting out devils, and speaking in other tongues. When you drink any deadly thing, you wouldn’t be hurt. This is your identity as a believer. You’re a master over Satan, sickness, poverty, failure and death, because you’re a believer. Halleluiah!
I’m made for signs and wonders because I believe in Jesus. I manifest miraculous signs every day. God has made me a wonder to my world. I heal the sick, cast out devils, cleanse the lepers, and raise the dead, in Jesus’ Name!
